SCHOOL KITS – A MISSION GIVING EXPERIENCE

Take your children, grandchildren or young friends with you shopping and let them help select what is needed for the school kits to give to a child in another country.  Maybe they have their own money they would like to use for this mission giving experience.  Visit with them about countries where children don’t have books, school supplies or even a classroom, and that a school kit may be their only educational resource.  The United Methodist women have mission books for children and young people to read, these are located downstairs in the UMW room.

We will plan on doing UMCOR school kits for the month of August. There are usually some great bargains in the stores for school supplies as time gets closer for another school year to begin.

You may contribute full kits or parts of a kit or cash, which ever you prefer and the mission committee will put the kits together.   School Kits may be brought to the MV UMC any time during the month of August and September.
